Spatial Image Based Lighting

Overview

The aim of this research is to investigate a spatial extension to the common image based lighting (IBL) process suitable for practical use in areas such as visual effects, animation and gaming.

Results

These examples show the result of Spatial Image Based Lighting in a hallway environment. Two light fields were captured, a daytime (no artificial light) and a night time (combination of incandescent and fluorescent light).
